And speaking of diversity, don't just look for one or two stocks that you think are going to perform well. You're going to want to track all of the different stocks. This way, you will have a very good idea of what the general trends in the industry are, and you'll also be able to identify those companies that are making headway.

Last news is very important, but it should never trump technical analysis. You're going to want to take your time with this process. Don't go into a news report blindly. You should always have an exit strategy when you're reading the last news, and that means you should be looking for the best times to buy and sell stocks.
