A lot of questions have been asked by people about the difference between a furnace versus boiler. The answer to such questions can be very confusing. This is because there is no such difference that can be easily defined and explained. The main difference between a furnace and a boiler is not in their power sources. They are both efficient at producing heat for your home. The main difference is in the way they use up fuel. In a furnace uses fuel as a source for heating the air inside the room. A boiler on the other hand uses the water supply for heating the air inside your house. However, the process is different. In a furnace the water is heated and then enters the duct system to the tank. As the water passes through the air, it heats it and when it comes out it passes through another air trap and this process continues until the water reaches its end destination where it gets heated and it gets condensed into gas form.
